Weight Training

I haven’t been on in a week but I haven’t spent the week idle. One of the most important stages of personal change is preparation.

I have been doing my research to see what would work best for me. I have decided on a circuit of weight training. On Monday (’cause we all Mondays are great for new beginnings) I will be starting.

I am going to break my workouts up like this; 1st day will be upper body weight lifting, second day will be aerobics, 3rd day will be lower body weight lifting and 4th will be aerobics. I wil just keep repeating that cycle with maybe some Yoga on Sundays. I am a newbie to this site but not to exercise.

But again I just have to stick to it. Thanks for reading my goals, and thanks for the positive welcome I received when I joined this site.

First Day

HI, I’m new here. I have been reading a book about making permanent changes in my life and one of the things it mentions is the importance of support groups. Obviously I need to loose weight so this must be the support group for me. I guess joining a group is a way for me to say to myself, that yes I do need help. I need to hear the methods and sucesses of others to get myself going.

I was laid off from my jobs 6 months ago. I have lost muscle tone and gained fluffy fat. Logically I know that cutting calories and exercising will help me loose weight but I need a little more motivation. I think that reaching out to others might help make me more accountable to myself….and being a part of something will help me as I cheer for your progress and allow you to see mine. So I say hello, and good progress to each of you.
